WOOD DALE, IL – Danaher Motion introduces a full range of miniature linear guides—Thomson MicroGuides—to meet the high accuracy, quality, and longevity requirements demanded by the semiconductor, medical, laboratory, and testing industries.

Each MicroGuide is constructed of 440 stainless steel to help resist corrosion. Providing whisper quiet movement and unlimited stroke capabilities, the MicroGuide delivers high precision accuracy with dimensional tolerances within +/-0.010mm. Its accuracy is achieved by utilizing a gothic arch ball groove geometry which enables single rail operation and smooth operation.

“The sub-miniature MicroGuide combines high accuracy and long life into a one small package,” states Patrick Rocco, Product Manager of Profile Rail for the Rails & Components Group. “In addition, it’s engineered to industry standards as a “drop-in” replacement and will utilize the same hole pattern as an existing guide. The MicroGuide is available in 5mm, 7mm, 9mm, 12mm and 15mm sizes. The 5mm guide is cleanroom and vacuum compatible. Custom lengths and configurations can also be accommodated for specific application needs.
